Returns and Exchanges

Thank you for shopping with Barnacle Clockworks! If you're not entirely happy with your order, the following guidelines will help you understand how to make a return for items bought from our online store within the United States.

You may request a return within 30 days of the date your order is delivered.

To start a return, please get in touch with us at Returns@Barnacleclockworks.com with your order number and the item you wish to return.

Condition of returned items

To be eligible for a return, all items must:

  • Be unused and unmodified, with no signs of wear, mounting, or installation.

  • Be returned in resellable condition, including all original packaging, internal padding, manuals, accessories, and inserts.

  • Include the original order number or proof of purchase.

  • If an item arrives with scratches, dents, missing parts, damaged or missing packaging, or any other condition that prevents resale as new, we may decline the return or issue only a partial refund at our sole discretion.

Return shipping and original shipping

  • The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs for change‑of‑mind or non‑defective returns.

  • Original shipping charges (if any) are non‑refundable.

  • We recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing insurance. Barnacle Clockworks is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit back to us.

Damaged or defective items

  • If your item arrives damaged in transit or appears defective, please contact us within 7 days of delivery and include photos of the product, packaging, and shipping box.

  • After review, if the item is confirmed damaged or defective, we will work with you to provide either a replacement or a refund.

  • In these cases, Barnacle Clockworks may cover or reimburse reasonable return shipping costs when a return is required.

Refunds

  • Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you whether your refund has been **approved in full**, **approved in part**, or **denied** based on the condition of the item and packaging.

  • Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method only.

  • Please allow 5–10 business days after approval for the refund to appear on your statement, depending on your payment provider.

  • If a partial refund is appropriate (for example, due to cosmetic wear, damaged packaging, or missing components), we will communicate the adjusted amount to you before processing.

Non‑returnable items

Unless otherwise stated on a specific product page:

  • Customized, engraved, or special‑order items are final sale and not eligible for return.

  • Gift cards and digital products (if any) are non‑refundable.

  • Items marked “Final Sale” at checkout cannot be returned or exchanged.

Exchanges

We do not offer automatic exchanges. If you would like a different color or item, please:

  1. Request a return of the original item under this policy.

  2. Place a new order for the desired product.

How to start a return

To initiate a return:

  1. Email Returns@barnacleclockworks.com with your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for the return.

  2. Once your return is authorized, we will send you the return instructions and return shipping address.

  3. Pack the item carefully in its original packaging and ship it using a trackable service.
